What were the earliest dinosaurs like? Find out at our traveling exhibit, Origins: The Dawn of Dinosaurs, comes to the Library. Get a glimpse of early Triassic life - 225 million years ago - when the two earliest dinosaurs, Eoraptor and Herrerasaurus, thrived. The dinosaurs "come to life" in this exhibit which paints a picture of their world using:
• Life-size flesh models
• Replica skeletons
• Original fossil wood and volcanic ash
• Expedition equipment and images from the discovery site in Argentina
• A hands-on dinosaur silhouette rubbing table
• A video theatre tent showing Fragments of Time DVD
The exhibit, which was created by Project Exploration, will be in the Hendrickson Room from July 8--29. Hours are Monday--Friday 9 a.m.--9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m.--5 p.m. and Sunday noon--5 p.m. Drop in during these hours; there's no registration. The exhibit is free and is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
