Listen to a reading by Evelyn Hildebrand, second place winner for the short story division in the "Poe: Man, Myth, or Monster" Young Writers' Competition (concluded in May 2009). The Library of Virginia and the Poe Museum invited high school students to submit their poetry and short stories, written in the veins of the genres Poe mastered – mystery, science fiction, and horror.
